8 Different Methods To Improve Your Ecommerce Shops Conversion Rate
All ecommerce websites are constantly trying to improve, whether it is; traffic numbers, conversions, repeat customers, average spend, checkout steps or any other kind of effect on success. But traffic seems to be what many webmasters focus on, rather then harnessing the exising traffic they have to much greater effect.
Thankfully there are ways in which you can increase your revenue without increasing the number of unique visitors. Here are ways looking at how to improve conversion rates, this will increase revenue and profits.
Improve Conversion Rates:
- Show off the paypal logo, 1 in 3 shoppers look for it, if you haven’t got it clearly displayed they may just go elsewhere.
- Make customers feel safe from buying from you. Show them your website is secure, have testimonials from previous customers, have an 'About' page clearly showing you are a serious and respectable business.
- Increase product range. More products should mean more sales, it must be done appropriately though. Don't want your website being overcrowded and top products falling into the background. Stay in your niche.
- Checkout process, have as few steps as possible. The easier and quicker it is to do the less sales you will lose in the process.
- Customer guarantees. Show off your 100% refund guarantees, people will be more willing to buy safe in the confidence they can just return the product if they don't like it.
- Run quality promotions and offers. Clearly display them and make them very attractive to customers, should win more sales.
- Change your existing marketing methods. This doesn't mean trying to get more traffic, it means getting highly quality traffic. The more they are niche targetted the better your conversions will be.
- Web design tweaks. Minor changes to your website can make it easier to navigate, product information clearer to see and checking out easier.
These minor changes can make a big difference and improve conversions and have a notable effect on your revenue and hopefully overall profit.
